Intercultural Nursing Inc. was founded in 1985 by Evelyn Gaudrault. Historically, INI trips provided an opportunity for nurses and other health care professionals to spend two weeks living and working with underserved communities in the developing Caribbean nations of Haiti and the Dominican Republic on the island of Hispaniola. More recently, INI has worked exclusively with underserved communities in the Dominican Republic to provide ambulatory health care and health education services.

INI is partnered with Social Ministry El Cercado, an organization local to the Dominican Republic who helps facilitate our work.
Next trip
INI’s next trip to El Cercado will take place in January 2027.
